Celebrate spring in Southwest Virginia with a hands-on, educational farm experience focused on foraged flowers and seasonal food traditions.

This Foraged Flowers & Spring Farm Day features a guided redbud foraging, a Redbud Jelly workshop, an optional farm-fresh lunch, and a Wild Foraged Mocktails class. Guests may attend one session or combine multiple experiences into a full day on the farm.

This event takes place outdoors on the farm and is designed for adults and older teens who enjoy learning, nature, and food traditions.

🥾9:30 AM — Farmhouse Hike & Redbud Foraging

(Complimentary with Redbud Jelly Workshop)

Begin the day with a guided Farmhouse Hike on the mountainside, where we’ll identify redbud trees and gather blossoms for the jelly class. This portion of the event includes hiking up and down the hillside and is more physically engaging than a flat walking path.

The hike is moderate in difficulty and takes place on uneven, natural terrain. Guests should be comfortable with short uphill and downhill sections and wear sturdy footwear.

For those who arrive and find the hike more challenging than expected, side-by-side transport is available to assist participants so everyone can comfortably take part.

This hike is complimentary for guests attending the Redbud Jelly Workshop and serves as the foraging portion of the class.
