Your Glamping Getaway is waiting for you at our Mountaintop Primitive A-frame cabin farmstay! Located on our 35 Acre Educational Homestead in Rural SW Virginia. Sunrise and sunset views overlooking the Clinch Mountain to the South and rolling mountainscape of the Appalachians to the North. Elevation at your cabin is approximately 2385 feet.
This area is a Hidden Gem for someone that wants to disconnect from the busy life for a while. Kayak the Clinch River, hike to the Mendota Fire Tower, rent an ATV to enjoy Spearhead Trails, or stay cozy in your cabin listening to the birds and watching the wildlife from above. Located on our 35-acre educational homestead, Breath of Dawn, Cabin Breazy is a primitive glamping A-Frame designed for guests seeking a slower pace, mountain air, and a deeper connection to nature in the mountains of Southwest Virginia. Tucked into the landscape with peaceful views overlooking the homestead, this simple off-grid style stay is ideal for solo travelers, couples, creatives, hikers, and anyone looking to unplug and recharge. Please note: there is no Wi-Fi available at this cabin.
Cabin Breazy is a dry cabin with electricity and thoughtfully provided essentials for a comfortable stay. Inside, guests will find a queen-sized bed with a Casper mattress positioned directly in front of the opening wall of the cabin, creating a relaxing indoor-outdoor experience perfect for reading, resting, or waking slowly with the sunrise. Drinking water, a mini-fridge, electric burner, portable heat and air conditioning, and basic cookware are provided. A French press, kettle, coffee, sugar, dishes, and cutlery are also included for simple meal preparation. If you plan to cook extensive meals during your stay, we recommend bringing any specialty cookware or supplies you may need.
Guests have access to nearby restroom facilities with handwashing stations, including a composting toilet setup designed to support the stewardship values of the farm. During the warmer months, guests may also enjoy access to the outdoor shower area. Near the parking area, our shared pavilion space offers a comfortable place for cooking, relaxing, reading, or simply enjoying the mountain atmosphere throughout your stay.
Outside, enjoy your private fire pit beneath the stars with firewood available for purchase on-site. We will notify guests ahead of arrival if seasonal fire restrictions are in place. As a working educational homestead, we kindly ask guests to be mindful of the trash they bring onto the property and pack out what they can when departing. A farm participation waiver is required for all guests entering the property. Maximum occupancy is two guests.
Breath of Dawn is centrally located for exploring many of Southwest Virginia’s outdoor destinations and scenic drives. Popular nearby adventures include hiking to the Devil’s Bathtub, exploring Spearhead Trails, visiting The Channels & Pinnacle Natural Area Preserve, discovering waterfalls throughout the region, and taking day trips into Abingdon, Damascus, or the Clinch River Valley. Whether you spend your stay adventuring through the mountains or simply resting around the fire with a cup of coffee, Cabin Breazy offers a quiet space to reconnect with the land and yourself.

ADDITIONALLY:
We compost and recycle here to reduce waste. When packing for your visit, please consider the amount of unnecessary waste you may create. We have a 3 gallon water refill station in the cabin so you don’t have to bring water bottles. We provide dishes so you don’t have to use disposables. We have designated areas for separating waste and appreciate you doing your part while on the farm.
If you choose to wear bug repellent on the property, we ask that you use sprays in the restroom as it does affect beneficial insects like bees and fireflies.
