Breath of Dawn offers a range of back-to-nature accommodations on its 35-acre educational homestead in rural Lebanon, VA. Guests can stay in a primitive A-frame dry cabin, perched at a mountaintop vantage with cozy amenities—mini-fridge, electric heater and AC, queen bed, and a fire pit—while enjoying panoramic views and full immersion in mountain life. For a more rustic experience, there are primitive camping spots on terraced hillside fields: each site includes a fire pit, bench, and porta-potty access, perfect for unplugging under the stars and embracing the wild.

A Note on Shared Resources
Breath of Dawn operates on a shared well and private mountain infrastructure. Water and waste systems here are different than in-town utilities, and we ask every guest to be mindful of their impact.
Please limit water use while showering, washing dishes, or brushing teeth. Turn water off when not actively using it, and keep showers intentional rather than extended.
We also ask guests to be conscious of what they bring onto the property. Minimize disposable items when possible, consolidate packaging, and reduce excess waste. If you are able, taking your trash with you at departure is greatly appreciated and helps us protect the land.
This is a mountain property built on stewardship and respect for natural resources. Your awareness helps keep Breath of Dawn sustainable, functional, and beautiful for everyone who stays here.
